The Process

Bones and Horns are natural products serving many utilitarian and ornamental purposes from time immemorial.

We do not buy horn or bone where the animal has been killed for its horn or bone.

We do not buy or work with any horn or bone of any endangered species.

The bone and horn are derived from animals which are brought to abattoir for human consumption.

The China cow or camel bone is much harder than other countries bone commonly available and has a minimum chance of cracking or breaking.

The bones and horns are seasoned for six months at more than 100 degree F. The bones and horns are then cleaned with detergents and chemicals and scraped and buffed to remove all bone particles and impurities.

To make bone and horn products, we cut them into desired shaped and sizes. They are completely dried and sandpapered before being carved, jigged or dyed. The same drying and cleaning process is adopted for making horn ware. The horn is molded into desired shapes. Then comes the final step of buffing and polishing.

The bone and horn handicraft is designed by our designers and the final shape of the product is given by our artisans.
